Paul J.'s Story

Hi Folks, After I graduated from Henry Grady I went to Viet Nam for a year. I had a lot of MOs there and for all the hard work I did there I was awarded the Bronze Star for meritorius service which is very a rare thing to have happen. I also made rank fast. I saw more than I cared to see while there. When I came back I started school in Boston and was there for 2 years. I came home and got a mundane job for a few years. I married in 1977 and returned to school. I received my undergard degree from University of Bridgeport in Bridgeport, Conn majoring in music and almost minored in psych. I was the president of the local chapter for PHI MU ALPHA Fraternity and needless to say when I was president the parties the fraternity had were simply the best. After all I had so much experience in high school. Why let it go to waste? We decided to move to Boston in 1980 where I worked in the psych field and received my Master's Degree from Cambridge College. In 1984 we had our daughter and just my coincidence Randy and Vickie Stallings had there daughter shortly after we had ours. The really freaky thing is that we named our daughter Christina Ann and Randy and Vickie named their daughter Christina Marie. Neither of us knew we had daughters until I called up Randy to tell him about my daughter and he inturn told me about his. Yes, we still are in touch after all these years though not as frequen...Expand for more
tly as I would like to be. In 1985 we moved to Rhode Island. All did not fair well with us due to finances and so about 1990 we seperated and then divorced. We have remained friends as we knew we were to always have a relationship through our daughter. She has turned out to be a very beautiful and graceful woman with dignity and poise. I think she got the atributes from her mother. She has my sense of fun, the better parts of my personality and humor. We share many similar interests to include photography. She went to the Fashion Institute of Technology in Manhatten for fashion photography and styling. She is a knock out. Hollywood material but thank God she has no interest in Hollywood. We get together every so often for a Father/Daughter Day and we have traveled around the country together. We rasied her to be accepting of all people for who they are and it definately shows in her. She did not by the Grace of God become a party animal like her father. I could go on and on about her. I will post some pics at some point of the both of us. And yes we definately look very much alike. You will know she is my child. Curently I am a licsensed substance abuse counsleor in Rhode Island. I have been doing this for nearly 20 years and still enjoy it. Thanks for reading my story and I hope to hear from you. It is so wonderful to reconnect with people. At some point I will post pics.
